Education

Bridal Beauty

Cati takes on a limited number of weddings each year, allowing for an elevated and personal experience with every bride & bridal party.

The Process

  • Booking your Day.

Once you get in touch, we can send you our brochure and availability for your day.

Your booking will be formalised with a contract and deposit payment to secure your date.

After this stage we can start planning all the details for the beauty preparations.

  • The Trial.

During the trial we get to experiment with different looks to understand what best suits you and your style better.

Although I do recommend having a trial, if you feel one isn’t needed, we will discuss your look before we meet so I understand your vision for the wedding day.

A trial can be booked more than a year in advance or the week of the wedding.

  • Planning & Wedding Day

I will get in touch with you to organise all the required logistics and details, as well as send you some recommendations for the wedding day and the final payment details.

This is the time to think about the final look, if we haven’t done so before, and to create a detailed beauty schedule.

After this, you just have to enjoy your wedding beauty preparations!

FAQs

  • I usually get booked somewhere from 6 months to 2 years in advance, so I’d recommend booking your beauty services as soon as you can. I have also been able to take last minute requests, so this is also possible. I only accept bookings for a confirmed date and location, so as soon as you have your wedding date and venue secured, that’s a perfect time to book other services.

  • I’m based in Lisbon, Portugal and I’m available to travel anywhere you’ll want me in Europe. A travel & accommodation fee is charged and a minimum booking is requested for some areas.

  • Yes, I work with a team of very talented makeup and hair artists I trust for a larger bridal party. I always take care of the bridal preparations myself, doing the bride’s makeup and hair both on the trial and wedding day. My team will take care of your bridal party.

  • This depends on availability and what best suits you. A trial can be booked more than a year in advance or the week of the wedding. I always recommend doing one if possible so we’re able to test the look and get to know each other. The trials usually take place at Cati Beauty’s location in Lisbon.

  • The makeup and hair trial takes around 3.5 hours, depending on how many styles we test. Before the trial, I will ask you to send me a few inspiration pictures so I understand your style and expectations. During the trial we’ll talk about the vision you have for your wedding and beauty in detail. We can try 1 to 2 makeup and hair look variations on the trial, so we can explore some ideas and also have a smooth decision making process.

  • Yes. You can book a trial with me and decide within a week if you want to proceed with your booking for your wedding day. I still do require a formal booking in this case with a payment of a deposit (the bridal deposit paid is redeemable when doing the trial).

  • I always create a schedule before the wedding day so that everyone knows their allocated time. I will also arrive around 20 minutes earlier to set up and start on the scheduled time. On average, I like to have around 2 hours and 30 minutes for the bride when doing makeup and hair. The bridal party services take around 45 minutes per person per service. I also recommend finishing all beauty services at least one hour and a half before you need to leave for the ceremony or first look. This will allow you to have some time to get dressed and photographed, and be relaxed before the ceremony. From my vast experience in weddings, I believe this time is vital for you.

  • I only believe in beauty that involves all women, so being inclusive and working with every skin/hair colour, shape, type and condition imaginable is extremely important to me. I’m very proud that I've been able to work with women from all over the world for the past decade, so my team and I are very familiar with a big range of skin shades and hair textures.

  • Absolutely, yes! I’m happy and grateful to have done a few queer weddings and this is something I look forward to doing more of each year.

  • I like to use a diversified range of high quality products and premium brands that I believe will suit my clients. I work mainly with brands such as Armani Beauty, Dior, YSL, Hourglass, Rare Beauty, Charlotte Tilbury, NARS, Estee Lauder, Dyson, GDH, Schwarzkopf, L’Oreal Professionnel and Moroccanoil.

  • I do not offer or rent hair extensions at this time. I believe this should be completely personalised to you and I’ll be able to help you source them to match your colour and cut seamlessly. I definitely recommend you using hair extensions on your wedding if you want more volume or need more hold.

  • Absolutely. Every picture you see on this website is my own makeup and hair work, unless it’s a group picture of a bridal party. In that case, some bridesmaids and mothers may have been prepared by an artist on my team.
